EARTH. FROM SPACE. ALL DAY.

Geostationary Weather Satellite Himawari

Bringing the View of Earth from Space into Everyday Life.

TerraCaster is a platform for experiencing the Earth as it is today, through observations from space. It transforms observation data from Himawari, a geostationary weather satellite 36,000 km above Earth into high-resolution imagery of our planet.

What you see is based on actual observations of Earth. TerraCaster uses satellite images captured every 10 minutes, with interpolation only to create smooth transitions between them, never to generate what was not observed.

Bascule Inc., the team behind The Space Frontier Studio KIBO, and Nippon TV combine their expertise in space media, content production, and distribution to make satellite data accessible as visual content for everyday use. We are transforming satellite data into engaging content with real-world value, creating new ways for people to experience and understand our planet together.

Once reserved for astronauts, the view of Earth from space is now within reach for everyone. Imagine starting each morning by seeing Earth as it is today. TerraCaster is bringing that future into everyday life.

FEATURES

Opening Up Today’s Earth to Everyone.

24 hours of change on Earth, reproduced in a 37-second video

The Real Earth. In Motion.

TerraCaster uses actual Himawari satellite images captured every 10 minutes and connects them with smooth transitions. It visualizes 24 hours of Earth in approximately 30 seconds, while every cloud and feature shown is based on actual observations.

The changing face of the Earth through spring, summer, autumn and winter

Any Moment. Any View.

TerraCaster turns satellite observations into ready-to-use imagery in as little as one hour, providing a continuous view of Earth 24/7, 365 days a year. Users can explore the latest imagery, find specific dates or events, and zoom in on any location, with visual assets available for a wide range of uses.
